About Us
Lafayette Lumber Co. was started in 1909 in downtown
Lafayette. In 1987 we moved into larger facilities on the
eastern edge of the city. We have been owned by Sterling Lumber
and Investment Company since 1972. Sterling Lumber and
Investment Company is located in Westminster, Colorado and also
owns 8 other lumber yards in Colorado. These include Boulder
Lumber, Estes Park Lumber and Steamboat Lumber.
Our employees average over 15 years of experience. During that
time we have dealt with many of the problems you come across and
can help with many of the difficulties you encounter.
We can handle projects from your smallest remodel to your new
luxury home. While our specialty is small to medium custom
professional contractors, our expertise is available to
everyone.
Our sales team will work with you throughout your project. We
offer take-offs, on site consultation, job accounting and many
other services. Floor joist layouts and engineered trusses are
also available. Our delivery trucks will drop your material on
your site when needed and pick up extra material at the end of
the job.
